Step into the Paris of the past in a gorgeous pair of Paris Boots. These incredible lace-up boots are direct reproductions of an original pair of Edwardian boots in our collection. They feature an almond-shaped toe with a sturdy sole and adjustable lace-up closure, paired with our attractive 1.6 inch / 4 cm Cuban heel.

Paris Boots are your all-day walking footwear for any occasion. Pair them with historic clothing of the 1890s, Edwardian and Great War periods, 1920s, and even 1930s and 1940s. So versatile is the Paris design that they'll look super cute with outfits both historical and modern.

As a lace-up boot, Paris Boots are very adjustable for a wide variety of ankle and instep measurements. The top of the Paris boots does not extend to the widest part of the calf muscle.

Favorite Boots, wish the heels were better

I adore these boots! They're my everyday shoes because they are just so comfy and they fit my dress sense perfectly. With regular care (including a resoling) they've lasted me through many conditions and still look mostly great with the exception of the heels. I put some grommets along some heavy duty zippers and laced them in so I even have a quick on/off process.

While the heels are perfectly positioned and a great height, they are made of white plastic with a black covering. I admit I am probably in the heaviest user category because I walk about 1.5 miles on mostly gravel/dirt daily but the black covering wore away in patches after only a couple months. I've been painting the exposed part black regularly as otherwise my visits to the cobbler would be too common. If the inner part could even just be a black plastic instead I think this would be a big improvement (of course ideal would be a stacked heel but I understand that would be a big change)

Overall very satisfied and will be repurchasing, but I do wish the heels were as quality as the rest.

    PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!

I was hesitant to purchase footwear online but fell in love with these boots and couldn't get them out of my mind. I knew they'd be perfect for the historical filming and photo shoots I'm invited to do. I chose the grey/black combo so they'd go with whatever costuming I select to wear. Aside from the size fit which was spot on, the color which is adaptable to all my costumes, I found them quite comfortable to wear. I had to be on my feet recently for six hours and they never tired or got sore. Wish I could post a picture of them on me so you could see. And I had oodles of compliments on them which I gladly referred the women to American Duchess. I will definitely purchase other styles in the future.

    GREAT FOR A COSTUMED INTERPRETER

I do love my boots ..American Dutchess came highly recommened ftom co workers ..I bought the "grey" and black 2 years ago ..then, the picture looked more grey and what I recieved was kind of brown ..at any rate I kept them..I used water 2 clean off some dirt ( at my job) and didnt realize the color just wipes off without much effort ..I wish that on the discription they made clear that YOU the customer have to buy waterproofing spray before you wear them ..so rain, puddles whatever beware if you dont waterproof them .. I feel that, for the price I paid, that issue should have been addressed in house befor selling them. I still wear them ..they fit and feel great but they dont look as nice anymore.

My favorite shoes of all time.

These were my first AD shoes, and they did not disappoint. I swooned when I opened the box for the first time. I wear my Paris boots with just about everything. I ordered a 7, and they were a little snug at first, but that buttery leather quickly molded to my feet. That’s a plus since my feet aren’t super wide persay, but have a lot of spread and flexibility that necessitates a wider toe box.

The leather soles can be a bit slippery, but it hasn’t been an issue for me yet.

I’ll definitely be a repeat customer when I can save up for another pair. Very few shoes I have ever owned are of such high quality. Their beauty is timeless and elegant. I’m so happy there is a company like AD keeping these traditional designs
    alive and well.

    Gorgeous, comfortable, a little fiddly

Funny thing - I had a pair of boots just like these when I was a teenager, but they were just cheap plastic. I wore them to shreds and assumed I'd never find another pair like them, so I was absolutely delighted to find these boots! They're comfortable enough to wear right out of the box and they're SO beautiful and well-made. Mine are in a size 11 and they fit very nicely - perhaps a little narrow for my admittedly wide feet, but still more than comfortable enough to run errands in. They're very sturdy and well-balanced and the heel never gives me any trouble.

Two small notes, if you're eyeing these up: One, the leather soles are VERY slippery on wet stone walkways. They're fine on rougher surfaces like cement, but if you live in an area with cobbles/flagstones/brick walkways, I strongly recommend getting those stick-on ridged half-soles so that your feet don't go out from under you. And two, the laces are quite fiddly. I love the aesthetic of lace-up boots with no side zip, but it does mean that they take some time and effort to get in and out of.
