Slingbacks

 Slingback shoes are a style of open-backed sandal that is held on by a strap around the back of the wearer's heel or ankle. Slingbacks sometimes have additional Mary Jane or T-strap closures, but can also be cut all in one with the front of the shoe. Slingbacks were particularly popular in the 1940s.
