    ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I'VE MADE

    I purchased these after several months of deliberation and am extremely pleased with that choice. Like many others, I ordered a half size up and I highly recommend doing the same. The shoes were a bit tight right out of the box, but within a week of light wear they fit like a glove. I have worn these shoes on lengthy walks on various terrains and am yet to have problems. I can even wear them to work, which requires lots of walking and moving of heavy items. These shoes are lovely and comfortable and have helped me reach my peak aesthetic of a professor that is possibly embezzling funds.

    FIT LIKE A GLOVE

    My feet are true to size 8, and so were the pair of Londoners I ordered! My pair is cherry colored. I could not find one loose thread. The Italian quality leather is much appreciated as these will last long with proper care. The plastic heel bottoms are loud when walking on a hard surface. I do appreciate the pair of spare heel bottoms that came in the box. The shoe laces endings have almost unnoticeable metal caps on them to prevent fraying. These are the best shoes I own, and the only better ones will hopefully be from AD too!

    FABULOUS!

    The only heels I bother with, these are incredible. I love the look, I love the fit, I love the colors! What can I say, I want to wear them every day( couldn’t resist the rhyme). These shoes don’t aggravate my hip, back, or knee problems. I wear them with wool socks and it is a blessed combination.

    Comfortable Enough for Every Day

    As others have said, these shoes are the most comfortable that I have ever worn. I own a couple pairs and I have worn them almost every day for two years. I have rather large feet so it's hard to find well-fitting shoes, but American Duchess shoes are comfortable right out of the box, I never have to break them in. They are also great for walking because the curved-under heels put your weight under your arch instead of under your heel. I can walk for miles in these and my feet don't hurt.
    And of course they are very beautiful. When I take them to my local shoe-repair shop for maintenance, they always remark on how special and unique the shoes are.
    I'm very grateful for these exemplars of craft and design.
